People at a house party where Slowthai and his friend are accused of raping two women were told that an "orgy was happening", a court heard today.

The Grammy-nominated musician, whose real name is Tyron Frampton, 29, and his friend Alex Blake-Walker, 27, are currently on trial at Oxford Crown Court following allegations that they raped two women at a house party following a gig. A jury at the court heard how Slowthai had been performing at The Bullingdon in Oxford on September 7, 2021.

It's claimed that two women went to his tour bus after the gig and later made their way to a friend of the musicians, with Slowthai and Blake-Walker joining later in the evening. It was claimed that after heading to the roof of the home, both Slowthai and Blake-Walker raped the two women.

The prosecution claims that Blake-Walker raped the first woman while he was being encouraged by the musician and Slowthai raped the second woman on two occasions while being encouraged by the former. The prosecution claims that they both sexually assaulted the woman who Slowthai is said to have raped. They deny three joint charges of rape and one of sexual assault against two women.

Navinder Nangla, a stylist on the rapper's tour and his friend, was at the party for around 10 minutes, after having smoked a cigarette in the garden, when he heard someone comment about what was allegedly occurring upstairs. Nangla, who was in the living room with others, told the court: "One girl had said she is a slag and another girl said 'there is an orgy happening’. We really did not take much notice of it.”

He continued: “There was a lot shouting and screaming. She said this girl is not meant to be here.” Nangla said he didn't know who the 'orgy' comment was related to or in which room of the house it was supposed to have happened in. On Monday, Nangla claimed he saw the rapper standing alone on the roof and said he looked “happy, just jolly and having a good time”.

Nangla said he thinks Frampton hopped or jumped off the roof as it wasn't very high. He claims there was a burst of shouting and swearing as he made his way to the front door with Frampton, with Nangla telling the court: "Some girls (were) shouting, saying `we have lost respect, just go, get out’.”

He described the atmosphere beween himself and the accused after they left the party as being "more confused than anything".

Frampton, of Wellingborough Road, Northampton, and Blake-Walker, of Wallbutton Road, south-east London, deny three joint charges of rape and one of sexual assault against two women. One of the complainants told the jury she was attacked on the rooftop of the house after meeting Frampton in The Bullingdon bar after the gig.

She said she had split up with her boyfriend the previous day and went out socialising with her friends, drinking and taking ketamine and cocaine. Musician Slowthai told the jury that sexual activity took place between him and the second complainant, but claimed she had been consenting. He accepted that he and Blake-Walker '"fist-bumped" but denied it was encouraging each other.
