Pat Spillane has revealed that his daughter Shauna has had a baby boy and he has become a grandfather for the second time.
The Kerry GAA legend joined Patrick Kielty on the Late Late Show tonight for their GAA special.
As he kicked off his chat, Patrick revealed Pat and his family have had some happy news since his last appearance on the show.
Welcoming him to the studio, Patrick said: "I believe you have some lovely news since you were last on the show, you've a new baby in the family."
"Myself and Rosarii have had our second grandchild," Pat confirmed. "A young boy called Paddy Conway, born to our daughter Shona and her husband Liam."
He joked: "Bad news, they live in Cork, he was born in Cork. So there's two options open: we could kidnap him, which is a possibility, or now that they Healy- Raes are holding up the government I think we could get a Kerry passport."
"Look, if he plays sport, brilliant," he added. "If he plays football, we'd be thrilled."
Pat and his wife Rosarii are proud parents to three children: daughters Cara and Shona, and a son, Pat Junior. While Cara boasts a law degree from University College Cork and has experience as a model and Emirates cabin crew member, Pat Junior pursued a career in sports, playing for Kerry and even getting a trial to swap Ireland for Australia for a career in the AFL, before joining St Jude's club in Dublin.
Shona is now a mum to two children and keeps her life very private.
Unlike their dad, none of the children are in the TV spotlight.
