Peter Andre and wife Emily take on pumpkin carving competition

The Andre clan were out in force on social media as Peter and his wife Emily were seen with their kids Amelia and Theo.

The Aussie singer, 51, and his doctor wife, 35, shared a joint Instagram post as they got into the Halloween spirit with their two oldest kids. They are also parents to six-month-old Arabella.

In the sweet upload, the family got their hands on some pumpkins for a bit of family fun carving. It turned out to be Peter's first time carving, much to the surprise of his wife. The clip began with Emily telling the youngsters she had already hollowed out the pumpkins ready to carve. She had also got her hands on some accessories, including pumpkin teeth.

The quartet gathered in the kitchen for the festive fun with the kids excited to get underway before showcasing their "magic" at the end. The family messed around while cutting their shapes - with Peter and Emily popping the Ghostbusters theme over the top.

They captioned the upload: "The couple captioned the post: "Pumpkin fun, part 2! From the patch to the carving—whose turned out best?"

While comments had been limited, many mocked Peter's efforts. One user wrote: "Just love this. Everyone is involved! Pete what happened?," while another joked: "What is going on with Peter's," following by a crying with laughter emoji face.

Others praised the whole family for taking part, with a number of followers celebrating Emily's design. Peter's daughter Princess also wrote: "This is so cute."

It's a rare occasion in which Peter and Emily have shared footage of the youngsters. While the faces aren't on show, the couple shared their voices over the clip. Previously, Peter and Emily have covered their children's faces with emojis if sharing images to social media.

Peter revealed the reasoning behind the decision previously. He said on a YouTube video in 2021: "So Emily’s point is that they weren’t born into the media. No one has ever seen their faces so she doesn’t really want anyone to see their faces. So when they go to school no one can really recognise them."

Peter's close family bond was evident at this week's Pride of Britain Awards. Speaking on the red carpet, he revealed his appreciation for his father-in-law, Ruaraidh MacDonagh. Labelling him a "hero," Peter said it would be Emily's dad who would get his nomination for an award at the ceremony.

He explained how his father-in-law, who is a doctor, saved his life when he fell ill, and ultimately, that's how he then fell for Emily, who is also a doctor. As Peter was ready to appear at the Plymouth Pavilions, he was rushed into hospital with excruciating pain and was diagnosed with kidney stone. It was Emily's dad who treated him and the pair soon became close. When he went to finally perform in Plymouth, it was then Peter and Emily were introduced.
