In a new interview with the BBC, the superstar producer revealed that, early on in his life, he was fired from working at McDonald's three times — and, ultimately, it was his love of chicken nuggets that got him the boot.

"McDonald's, my first and only job — got fired three times," he said. "I was eating the chicken nuggets."

"It got me in trouble," Pharrell added regarding the allure of the nuggets. "I got fired three times. Not for the same thing. The first two times, it was just because I was lazy."

"The third time, it was just kind of like, 'Dude, what are you doing? Why are you just sitting there eating nuggets? What are you doing?'"

Now, anyone who knows ball will tell you that, when it comes to various types of chicken — nuggets, tenders, strips, you name it — the dipping sauce is essential. And it sounds like Pharrell was literally lost in the sauce while working at Mickey D's.

"I found the sweet and sour sauce and the chicken nugget pretty, an alchemical combination," he explained. "I was one of those kids, I just liked flavors. So I would have sweet and sour on one, and on the other one I would have ranch. And I'd just go back and forth."
