P!nk made a promise on stage at the Los Angeles FireAid Benefit Concert that only her fans would understand on Friday (Thursday local time).
The singer, real name Alecia Moore, vowed to "keep her feet on the ground" for the benefit concert, which was put on to help the people of LA rebuild after the city was devastated by wildfires earlier this month.

Some members of the audience would have missed the meaning behind her promise to stay on the ground for the night, which was a nod to her usual high-flying concert performances.
Moore is known to strap into a harness attached to bungee cords at her gigs and go flying around stadiums, performing flips and other aerial tricks all while singing to tens of thousands of captivated fans.

Her high-energy performances are a hit with fans, though they have drawn a few jokes on social media in the past.
When she toured Australia in 2024, a TikTok sound urging the singer to "get down" in a Scottish accent went viral when it was layered over footage of her shows.

But Moore made good on her promise to keep things grounded while she performed at the Kia Forum for the FireAid Benefit Concert.
She started with a stirring acoustic rendition of What About Us, followed by Janis Joplin's Me and Bobby McGee and even a Led Zepplin classic.
Dressed in a black gown, leather jacket and matching wide-brimmed hat, she looked somber and was reserved when she spoke to the crowd, who were uncharacteristically silent in the presence of the megastar.

Addressing the massive crowd at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, Moore said: "If you're hurting, I'm hurting with you, my heart is with you.
"I'm going to sing a couple of songs that bring me comfort and I hope they do the same for you all."
Celebrities who have lost their homes in LA's fires
FireAid kicked off at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California and the adjacent Kia Forum on the evening of January 30 (US time).
The line-up included massive artists like Sting, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Olivia Rodrigo and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, all of whom hope to raise funds for the tens of thousands of LA locals affected by the fires.
All proceeds from the concert "will go directly to the event's designated beneficiaries", according to a press release.
