After pulling Wear OS 5 for older devices in September and not releasing anything last month, Google is rolling out latest Pixel Watch, Pixel Watch 2, and Pixel Watch 3 update with the November 2024 security patch today.
Based on Wear OS 5, AW2A.241105.012 is the build number for all six global models. In France:
- All Pixel Watch LTE models with Orange cellular service: AW2A.241105.013
- All other Pixel Watch models in region: AW2A.241105.012
The Pixel Watch should be on the “November 5, 2024” security patch level.
With this update, Pixel Watch 1 and 2 users will resume receiving the Wear OS 5 upgrade starting today. The rollout will continue over the next week in phases depending on carrier and device.
The Pixel Watch November 2024 update changelog is as follows:
- Pixel Watch 3: Security Updates and Bug Fixes
- Pixel Watch 1 & Pixel Watch 2: The software update includes an upgrade to Wear OS 5, including new features, numerous bug fixes, and performance updates. Play Store updates for improved camera controls, and Pixel Recorder are also available.
Tapping the “Your watch is up to date” screen (Settings > System > System updates) multiple times should initiate the download, but it’s not working just yet. To speed up the process, open Connectivity preferences and disable Bluetooth to force Wi-Fi. The OTA images can be found here.
