Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are once again using their platform to make a positive impact, this time by helping those affected by the recent deadly wildfires in Southern California. On January 10, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Pasadena, California, where they lent their support to wildfire relief efforts by working with World Central Kitchen to distribute food and essential supplies to victims of the Eaton Fire.

The couple's focus remained on quietly aiding those in need while supporting both the local community and first responders.

During their visit, the royal couple worked alongside California's First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom and Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo. They were seen serving meals, donating necessary supplies, and connecting with the people directly impacted by the fire.

They met with families, elderly individuals, and community members, offering their support and showing solidarity with those whose lives were devastated by the disaster.

One of the key highlights of the visit was the Duke and Duchess' interaction with first responders. They took the time to thank L.A. County firefighters and police for their tireless efforts in battling the blaze and protecting communities.

According to Mayor Gordo, their presence provided a much-needed boost to the spirits of both first responders and residents alike.

"It's great people, great personalities and great heart for them to come out here and meet with the first responders, meet with the people who were affected... It's very important," he said.

The couple also visited the command post at the Rose Bowl, where they were warmly received by the community.

"People were very happy to see them," Gordo added. "They want to be as helpful as they can be... They're just very caring people who are concerned for their friends and neighbors."

Discreet and selfless acts of support

What stood out during the visit was the couple's discreet approach. They chose not to draw attention to themselves but instead focused entirely on assisting in the relief efforts.

Meghan and Harry volunteered to serve food with World Central Kitchen, doing so anonymously with masks on.
