Prince Harry and Meghan Markle showed an 'emphatic contrast' in their telling solo outings thousands of miles apart, an expert has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex was at The New York Times Dealbook Summit, where he chatted about his life in the United States, while a glamorous Meghan posed up a storm on the red carpet at a star-studded gala honouring her pal and filmmaker Tyler Perry. The separate events come amid a string of solo appearances. Their last in-person official public appearance together was over 100 days ago on August 18, on the last day of their four-day trip to Colombia.

"Harry seems to thrive, going back in time to his days as a royal prince when his confidence signals peaked and when he was known for his playful, show-boating style and love of the spotlight. His alpha signals are high on this latest outing and he seems to be a ready communicator, speaking with gestures of attention-seeking authority. Instead of relating to his interviewer he sits facing the audience, with his knees splayed wide and his shoulders slanted.

He turns his head towards his interviewer and uses strong eye contact, which makes him look the higher in terms of status. His words suggest he enjoys speaking directly and, as usual, he enjoys speaking about himself."
However, when it comes to Meghan, Judi believes the difference is stark. She added: "Meghan, meanwhile, seems to be using a new form of 'future' body language against Harry's return to history. She is primarily in celebrity mode here, but her body language signals are not like the ones she used back in the days when she was an actress.
"While Harry's confidence signals have increased on sole appearances, hers seem to have decreased, or that is the more vulnerable-looking message she seems to want to send out.
"Her sideways pose and the glance over the shoulder at the camera still retain something of the TV star flirty glamour, but she otherwise adopts a more tentative look as though seeking approval rather than expecting it, as Harry does. Her fingers touch together lightly, and her smile comes with a slightly dipped chin that suggests a request to be liked.
"She also seems to crave a posing partner. Each time she's appeared on a red carpet alone she uses 'limpet' style body language, spotting a friend and approaching them to provide the drama, walking with bent kneed crouch before hand-clasping and hugging as though relieved to dock in. Her relationship signals seem to be an important projected message for her, while Harry looks more confident appearing by himself."
