5 days ago 2

Professor Green felt incredible after touring thanks to one major life hack.

Green, real name Stephen, has teamed up with Holiday Inn Express, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts to create an ASMR playlist for Spotify to help sleep deprived Brits ahead of the supermoon.

The rapper chatted exclusively to Daily Star about his sleep routine and how getting a good night’s sleep even helped him perform better while on tour. Green, known for iconic hits such as Just Be Good To Green, Monster and the aptly named tune Lullaby, learned that one vital thing would change his life for the better.

The rapper admitted that his head is often full of thoughts, which is why he decided to team up with Holiday Inn Express to create his new Spotify playlist. He explained: “I often listen to something to fall asleep to.”

“My head is busy. If I’m on tour, if I’m travelling, whatever I’m doing, if I end up in a Holiday Inn Express I can take my sleep routine with me. Consistency is key!”

The rapper also revealed a cheeky in-joke he shared with his friends while backstage: “The only thing I used to say to my band while on tour was: ‘Don’t be sh**!’ No pressure, be amazing. We had that on the back of our tracksuits while on tour. That was the mantra!”

Professor Green's Restful Rhythms playlist hopes to trigger a good night’s sleep and includes sounds inspired by a calm night in a hotel - “sounds of the city, a distant hum of voices, fresh coffee, a rolling suitcase, the faint rumble of distant streets and the gentle whir of an air conditioner.”

Holiday Inn Express offers a great night's sleep for guests with perks like premium bedding and a choice of soft or firm pillows, blackout blinds, power showers and hot breakfasts, which helps guests prepare for the day ahead.

Professor Green’s Restful Rhythms with Holiday Inn Express hotels is now available to stream on Spotify globally from the 15 November. To book your next stay with Holiday Inn Express hotels, visit http://ihg.com/holidayinnexpress.
