The best Bravo via Hayu news I’ve heard all year is that fans are finally getting a Real Housewives of London. The news came over the weekend with a major announcement at Hayu’s FanFest. The streaming service, which NBC Universal owns, is looking to produce an original franchise, and fans couldn’t be more excited. Loyal viewers are already trying to figure out who might be cast, but one thing is certain: Meghan Markle and the royals won’t be in it.
The who’s who of London
From the producers of Made in Chelsea, the United Kingdom will finally be given its own franchise that it can be proud of. London is one of the most vibrant cities and, as a capital, offers the perfect background for these ladies’ shenanigans. But one question remains: who will be the newest Real Housewives stars? Naturally, fans already have ideas. According to My London, some names are being tossed around. A few include former Made in Chelsea star Sophie Habboo, influencer Lydia Millen, The Traitor’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, and Caroline Stanbury. Both Caroline and Ekin-Su are familiar with TV and were embraced by fans. Caroline has been on the Ladies of London and the Real Housewives of Dubai, so it would be interesting if she came back from over the pond for this particular opportunity.
Other names that have been mentioned are Trinny Woodall and Fran Cutler. Trinny is in charge of her $72 million-a-year beauty empire. She was also the co-host of Britain’s What Not to Wear. As for Fran, she is a name well-known in the inner circles of London. She is a PR guru who, in the 90s, was nicknamed the “Party Rottweiler.” Fran hosts elaborate parties for the elite. Seeing a royal or an A-list actor in attendance isn’t surprising. Even though she had a fallout with her BFF, Kate Moss, Fran is still the “it girl” of London.
