Brandi Glanville is facing a challenging year as she deals with a strange health issue involving bugs. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum was diagnosed with stress-induced angioedema, which causes painful swelling, especially in her face.
She first began experiencing these symptoms around October 2023, when she had to be rushed to the hospital after her face blew up, eyes swelled shut and she collapsed. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight's Brice Sander on Tuesday, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star opened up about the changes to her face, suspecting a potential parasite she may have contracted in Morocco.
Brandi told Brice: "I've been on meds this whole year. I don't socialize. I don't go out and I'm just spending all of my money on trying to figure out what's wrong with me, over $70,000. Honestly, I have so many doctors and I've had so many tests … I did lab work for $10,000. I ran every test under the sun.… They're like, it could be a parasite that's, you know, new."

Getty Images)Speculating where she may have contracted the parasite, Brandi added: "I mean, we had food sitting out for hours on end and some of it was meat. In Morocco. Six months after I got back from [filming in] Morocco, I started having this speaking thing and the swelling up thing, it started in July and we're still here trying to figure it out."
Earlier this week, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 52, took to social media to post a concerning photo of herself amid her ongoing health battle. “What happened?” she wrote on X on Sunday.
“I wish I knew I’ve been in and out of the hospital this passed year and 1/2 … spent almost every dollar I have trying to figure it out. Some Dr.’s say I have a parasite that jumps around my face. Some say it’s stress induced edema. I personally say it’s Bravo.”
Glanville sparked fan concern as she posted the shocking photo of her changing face. She didn’t detail her condition but simply captioned the snap, "Sick it." Her fans quickly flocked to share their support, as others made suggestions as to what the condition could be.

A fourth added: "Brandi, this just breaks my heart for you. I'll definitely be keeping you in my prayers.. Love ya." The reality star previously blamed Bravo for her swollen face. Back in July, Brandi said she was “miserable and depressed” due to their ongoing legal drama.
Brandi claimed her former employer - US TV network Bravo - was to blame for her facial disfigurement. During the summer, she took to X to announce that stress was causing havoc on her appearance. “This is why I’m miserable and depressed ” she wrote, sharing a selfie of herself that showed her left cheek severely swollen and bruised.
“I’m not even gonna share the picture of when it sinks in. Stress will kill you. How is your wealth? Take care of yourself people thank you Bravo. I couldn’t even work if I wanted to at this point.”
Speaking with Brice, Brandi also revealed that she still watches The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She shared: "You know what? It's garbage and yes, I am. It's a train wreck you can't stop watching. But it's really sad TV. I've had a great 13-year run. It seems like it's always when I'm on Bravo that it's hard. All the other ones have been really easy and there's been a lot. So, going back to Bravo ruined my life."
