Rebecca Minkoff Explains Relationship With Jailed Actor and Fellow Scientologist Danny Masterson

Scientologists stick together, so of course, Rebecca Minkoff has a history with disgraced actor Danny Masterson. The That 70’s Show actor is in prison for rape, but Rebecca just shared the unusual connection she has to him. Apparently, he helped get her into the fashion industry.

Danny Masterson helped open doors for Rebecca Minkoff

Rebecca has been open about her connections to Scientology throughout her career. She identifies as both Jewish and a Scientologist. During a recent episode of Two Ts in A Pod, she sat down with the veteran Housewives to talk about that cringeworthy RHONY prank, and of course, her controversial religion. When they asked if Rebecca knew Danny, she had a surprising answer.

“When I started out, he was incredibly supportive to me. I knew no one,” Rebecca revealed.

According to Rebecca, Danny used to introduce her to “girls and actresses that were excited” to wear her “product” during the early days of her fashion career. However, she clarified that she hadn’t spoken to Danny in over ten years.

Last year, Danny was found guilty of two counts of rape. He was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison. Ahead of the sentencing, multiple celebrities connected to Scientology came forward to defend his character, including his That 70s Show cast members, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.

On Two Ts in a Pod, Rebecca said she had nothing to do with that. Their relationship seems to predate all of the controversy.

“I didn’t participate in the case. I don’t have details,” Rebecca insisted.
