In this episode Billboard Unfiltered, Billboard staffers Kyle Denis, Trevor Anderson and Damien Scott recap J. Cole’s Inevitable episode 1 and the fan reactions, what to expect from Beyonce’s Christmas halftime show, debate if celebrities were paid for their endorsements, monitor celebrity movement from X to Bluesky and more!
Damien Scott:
For someone like Jermaine, who is so guarded, this is a great thing to have because you don’t really get anything from him like that. He doesn’t really do interviews that much.
Trevor Anderson:
We don’t not know too much ourselves, but first off …
Damien Scott:
We don’t know anything.
Trevor Anderson:
Well, we know it’s going to happen.
Kyle Denis:
Like, if Beyonce lost Kamala the election, did Amber Rose win Donald Trump the election? No!
Trevor Anderson:
The announcements have not slowed down, particularly these past couple of days. A lot of big superstars revealed a couple of things. We’ll get into two of the biggest ones. We’ll start with something that dropped earlier this week: J.Cole and the Inevitable series that came out of nowhere to really blow up on sort of a podcast, an audio streaming kind of thing. People are still not quite sure what the right word is, but an audio streaming series that recaps his journey from Fayetteville all the way to becoming the world-conquering superstar that we know. Episode one dropped on Monday night, cat’s pretty much got a lot out from the intro, it was over two hours. It was him and Eve, basically recounting their journey and how they met. A lot of chatter about the series, of course, because we’re going to walk through 10 episodes. And it seems like we’re not only going to get, you know, just the story behind things, but we’re also getting some new music the first time on big DSPs.
Keep watching for more!
