Cleaning mouldy grout may seem like such an arduous chore, but it can be removed easily.

A savvy cleaner has revealed a quick and budget-friendly grout cleaning technique on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips and Tricks Facebook group.

Linda Scott praised the product that worked wonders for her, posting a dramatic before and after picture of her bathroom grout.

"Absolutely amazing results!" Linda exclaimed, adding: "I have never found anything to clean the grout as quickly - doesn't even need scrubbing."

Linda detailed her hassle-free method which involved leaving the product on the dirty grout for 20 minutes, then easily wiping away all the grime, mould and dirt.

"Had to share," the enthused cleaner said on the Facebook page, revealing her magic product to be Stardrops Mould and Mildew Remover.

Stardrops Mould and Mildew Remover is available in the likes of Asda for £1.50 or Poundland, for the same price.

People who prefer a more natural way to remove mould stains on grout are advised by experts at Victorian Plumbing to use baking soda.

They advised: "Mix some baking soda with a little water in a bowl to form a paste."

This baking soda and water paste can then be applied to the grout with either a clean toothbrush you're going to throw away or a cloth.

"This mixture will easily cut through the dirt without causing any damage," the experts promised.

After applying the paste to the grout, let it sit for about 30 minutes. Then, just rinse off with clean water.

The area should be wiped dry afterwards with a microfibre cloth to help prevent further mould growth.
