Renée Zellweger Can't Escape Engagement Rumors With Ant Anstead After 'Bridget Jones' Premiere

Renée Zellweger and Ant Anstead have sparked engagement rumors after stepping out in London for the premiere of the actress’ new movie Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.

Anstead joined Zellweger for the premiere afterparty, leaving a venue with her hand-in-hand in photos obtained by the Daily Mail. However, it’s actually the actress’ red carpet appearance that is stirring up rumors.

Zellweger, who has been dating the British TV host since 2021, curiously posed for photos on the red carpet with a bandage wrapped around her ring finger, causing the Daily Mail to speculate that she was covering up an engagement ring.

However, this isn’t the first time the couple have been the subject of engagement rumors. Anstead and Zellweger were widely reported to be engaged back in July 2023 before People confirmed that the rumor was false.

The notoriously private couple started dating after meeting on Anstead’s show Celebrity IOU: Joyride and moved in together in the spring of 2023 with People confirming that they “found a house that they both love and are moving in together. They are very happy and in love.”

Zellweger shared a rare update on their romance during an interview with British Vogue earlier this month, saying, “I live in Southern California, near San Diego. Because that’s where my fellow lives, and his little boy.”

Anstead shares a 5-year-old son, Hudson, with ex-wife Christina Haack to whom he was married from 2018 until 2020. He also has two older children from his first marriage.

Zellweger was briefly married to country music star Kenny Chesney in 2005, filing for divorce after four months of marriage. She later dated Bradley Cooper from 2009 until 2011 and musician Doyle Bramhall II from 2012 until 2019.
