Mary Cosby‘s home is reportedly in pre-foreclosure.
According to an online report, which came just as Mary’s son, Robert Cosby Jr., 21, confirmed his completion of an in-patient rehab program, the 52-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star and her husband, Robert Cosby, have fallen behind on their mortgage payments.
“[Mary Cosby’s] house in pre-foreclosure. Mortgage is less than $100k … hoping that means she can sell some designer duds [and] resolve this!” Bravo and Cocktails shared on Instagram, along with a screenshot of a court document regarding the foreclosure process.
Mary reportedly has two mortgages on the home, including one in the amount of $3.5 million taken out in September of 2006, and another one for $99,217 taken out in October 2008. It appears the smaller loan is the one triggering the pre-foreclosure.
In other RHOSLC news, The U.S. Sun revealed that Robert Jr. attended a November 21 hearing at the Murray Justice Court in Utah, where he and his attorney confirmed he completed a treatment in California as part of his 2022 DUI case.
According to court documents, Robert Jr. is expected to return to court in January to provide proof of his completion, which he reportedly failed to do during last week’s hearing.
“Prosecutor filed order to show cause based on failing to complete Prime For Life, 16-week Substance Abuse Treatment with random testing or 30 days home confinement,” the documents explained.
Prime For Life is an alcohol and drug program with court-required courses to help participants “reflect on personal choices, be inspired and motivated to make changes, and protect the things they value most in life,” according to the website.
Earlier this month, while appearing on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, Mary offered an update on Robert Jr.
“Robert is steady,” she shared. “He’s steady, which for me is healthy, and he’s doing good. He’s working on [himself] on telling lies. He’s working on himself being honest with me and not trying to deceive me.”
“And that right there — I think those little changes has better[ed] our relationship because, you know, that’s more trust, more love, and loving me in the right way, not taking advantage of Mom because I’m weak to him and he knows it,” she continued.
In scenes from the currently airing fifth season of RHOSLC, Mary expressed concern for her son, who previously tested positive for cocaine, Fentanyl, and THC.
“Robert is currently at home right now. He’s not in college. Robert does ask me for money and no, he’s not working,” Mary disclosed in a confessional. “But I just feel like he’s very sheltered and I feel like that’s my fault, and so, that’s why I don’t mind him staying at home.”
“Something’s going on with Robert Jr. and I’m concerned. He’s typically very ambitious but lately, he’s just not. He’s not doing anything,” she added.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season five airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
