RHOBH’s Dorit Kemsley Almost Quit the Show Before Season 14

Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is shaping up to be a rough one for Dorit Kemsley. Her separation from PK Kemsley kicked off the season. Plus, she’s having a major falling out with her former bestie, Kyle Richards. The fashionista just can’t catch a break.

In a recent interview, Dorit revealed that she almost caved to the pressure and had some serious conversations about quitting the show. However, a little advice from a former cast member helped Dorit get her head back in the game.

Why Dorit Kemsley almost walked away from RHOBH

Dorit opened up about her preseason jitters during a conversation with People. According to her, she had already told producers she wouldn’t be participating. Why would she want to subject herself to exposing her marriage problems?

“I remember PK saying something to me like, ‘Well you have to do it,'” Dorit recalled. “And when I heard him say, ‘You have to do it,’ it was wanting to take back that control. Like, ‘Oh no no no no no. This is going to be my decision. I’m the one who is doing it.’ So I said, ‘Well you know what? I’m not.'”

After taking more time to think through her decision, Dorit said she realized she had some “unfinished business” on the show. Presumably, she was talking about her strained friendship with Kyle. With that in mind, she turned to none other than Lisa Rinna for advice, from Housewife to Housewife.

“She was one of the only people that I opened up to about not wanting to come back or being undecided,” Dorit revealed. “And she said to me, ‘Dorit, if you’re going to do it, then do it. No holds barred. Guns blazing. You go in and you do it. Be yourself, don’t hold back.’ And that stuck with me.”

Once again, we’re thankful to Rinna for keeping RHOBH alive. If Season 14 didn’t have Dorit, what else would we be talking about?
