Mauricio Umansky is facing criticism from fans after a recent post about the Los Angeles wildfires.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Buying Beverly Hills star owns a profitable real estate agency, called The Agency, which reportedly employs over 1,700 agents around the world.

Mauricio and his team were recently sued by Relator LLC, who claimed they inappropriately took PPP loans they didn’t need during the pandemic. Mauricio, however, is seeking to dismiss the case.

This week, as the Los Angeles wildfires spread across Pacific Palisades, firefighters shared that the strong winds made it impossible to control the flames. According to reports, at least 10 people have lost their lives. Many homes were burned to the ground as some residents fled on foot. The flames moved at the speed of three football fields each minute.

On his Instagram, Mauricio uploaded pics of the wildfire from his house, writing in a caption, “I am praying for all who lost their homes.”

“I’m praying for Los Angeles and for the winds to stop. I am praying for our brave fire fighters,” he added. “This is so devastating myself and The Agency will do whatever we can in our power to help.”

In the comments, fans expressed their displeasure with Mauricio’s post.

“How much shall a mansion run to appease you?” wrote one user.

“How bout opening up extra rooms or houses to those in need or displaced?” said another.

Another user responded, “he won’t all he sees is $ [for] the next deal [for] the rebuild.”

“Helping how? Charging $50 millions for a house?” wrote a different fan.

“[He said] ‘we’ meaning you and your hand,” expressed another.

Some fans, however, supported Mauricio’s post.

“My thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone in LA during this difficult time. 💔Praying for the safety of all those affected and for the brave firefighters working to protect your community,” wrote one fan.

“You and the family stay safe, Mo!” wrote another.

“I’m with you on that,” said a different fan. “Is so sad to see all the damage. Praying for all those who lost anything/everything — Blessings Mauricio.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesday nights on Bravo.
