The cast of The Real Housewives of Miami is filming the next season of the show. However, it seems the drama is heating up just in time, as there have been more developments in the divorce between Lisa Hochstein and her estranged husband, Lenny. Not only is one of her attorneys requesting to drop her, but also has a lien filed against her. Plus, Lenny’s legal team is coming forward and revealing why the divorce isn’t finalized.
Lisa and Lenny tied the knot in 2009, which was two years after their first date. They have two young children, but unfortunately, he filed for divorce from her in 2022. Both moved on after this but their divorce has been messy from the start. However, Lenny recently confirmed he’s no longer engaged to the woman he moved on with.
Now, In Touch Weekly has gotten its hands on new court filings in their divorce proceedings. First, Lenny’s legal defense says that Lisa is the reason the divorce still hasn’t been finalized. Specifically, they say that she is refusing to agree to sign a non-disparagement clause.
Apparently, in 2023, the estranged couple agreed to a Marital Settlement Agreement “which resolves and settles all controverted and disputed financial matters at issues in this action including but not limited to equitable distribution and child support.”
Additionally, Lenny’s legal team also claims, “The parties have been working on a parenting plan which is mostly agreed to and to which they have been abiding by to date.”
However, the parenting plan has yet to be agreed upon because “[Lisa] is refusing to agree to a non-disparagement and confidential provision.”
The attorney goes on to explain the importance of this agreement by saying, “Of course, the parties keeping their personal matters confidential and not disparaging each other whether publicly or privately, especially around the minor children, is ALWAYS in the best interest of the children.”
The lawyer adds, “Yet again, for reasons unknown, [Lisa] will not agree to said provisions.”
This isn’t all. The report also says that one of Lisa’s lawyers, John Lambros, is asking to be removed from the case. He stated that he’s confident Lisa had another attorney who could handle the proceedings. Additionally, the firm has filed a lien against the RHOM star for legal fees. Of course, this comes after Lisa has publicly discussed the massive amount she’s paying in legal fees for this divorce.
Allegedly, Lisa owes about $26,573 to the firm so far. This also comes after Lenny accused Lisa of removing items from their marital home that were not included in their agreement.
From the looks of things, the next season of RHOM will have quite a bit in store from the drama from Lisa alone.
