RHOSLC Star Jared Osmond Calls Britani Bateman His “Girlfriend” as They Become Instagram Official, Plus She Addresses His Alleged “Sexting” With Mary Cosby

Britani Bateman and Jared Osmond made a big announcement about their on-and-off relationship over the weekend on their Instagram Stories: They’re back on — and officially girlfriend and boyfriend.

Less than two weeks after the 53-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star appeared on Watch What Happens Live, where she confirmed she and Jared, 54, were not currently dating, the two of them gushed over one another on social media.

“When an angel comes into your life that brings you happiness, peace, and love you hold on with both hands! Introducing my beautiful girlfriend, Britani Bateman,” Jared announced on December 22, along with a photo of Britani sitting on a set of stairs in a black dress and cowboy boots.

Then, after resharing Jared’s post on her own Story, Britani responded to his post by calling Jared her boyfriend.

“This man. He’s everything to me … My best friend. My boyfriend,” she declared with a pic of the two of them looking cozy.

Back in October, amid claims that they faked their relationship for RHOSLC, Britani and Jared faced major relationship drama as he claimed she would’ve never been cast on the show if it weren’t for him. One month later, Jared suggested that Britani changed after joining the series and confirmed he’d received backlash for how their romance played out.

Even earlier this month, on the December 11 episode of WWHL, a future didn’t seem possible for Britani and Jared.

“We are not together. Is anyone shocked? We were not together last week at the reunion. We were friends a month ago. Someone else on my spreadsheet has caught my eye. It is not another Osmond,” she shared.

Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Britani was asked about Jared’s supposed “sexting” with Mary Cosby, 52.

“I knew that. In fact, I was there when Jared sent the texts back and forth and they were so above board. It was just kind, nice, normal platonic texts. So I think that more was insinuating than actually was meaning to be,” she stated. “[And] to be fair, that’s why we’re not together, because there was some of that that I didn’t appreciate but with Mary, I would say it was all above board.”

“Mary’s a great person and he appreciates that about her and I do too,” she added.
