Rift tears decades-long friendship apart after TV star loses 273 lbs

How fabulous! Not only are 1000-Lb Sisters and 1000-Lb Best Friends stars Vannessa Cross and Tammy Slaton shedding pounds and living their best lives these days, but the two have also formed a “text friendship” with one another. Vannessa even got a cat from animal lover Tammy.

When TLC viewers first met Tammy Slaton and her sister, Amy Slaton, the two weighed in at a combined 1000 lbs. Four years later, Tammy and Amy are unrecognizable. The 1000-Lb Sisters are inspiring people all over the world. And, Tammy is also connecting with fellow TLC stars who’ve experienced success with weight loss. She and Vannessa are now pals following a big rift on 1000-Lb Best Friends.

1000-Lb Best Friends Vannessa connects with Tammy

TLC shows 1000-Lb Best Friends and 1000-Lb Sisters have Dr Proctor in common, many fans know that.

But, some may not be aware of another connection between the two shows – Tammy and Vannessa.

Speaking to Access Hollywood this November, Vannessa shares how she’s “never met the 1000-Lb Sisters,” but “wants to so bad.”

“Me and Tammy have each other’s personal numbers, we message every now and then,” she adds.

Vannessa adds how the two TLC stars “started reaching out a little over a year and a half ago.”

She continues: “Seeing her on her journey, there’s so many times, like today, I had to send her a message that said ‘Oh my God, you look amazing, so proud of you, do not get discouraged by the plastic surgeon saying right now is not the time’ and she messaged back saying ‘Thank you, love you…’, we’ve been support for each other…”

“Believe it or not, I have a kitten that Tammy Slaton sent down to me, so I have one of her cats that she sent, so we are really good friends,” Vannessa adds.

The 1000-Lb Best Friends star explains she’s “never met them,” but feels as though she “would fit into their family like they fit in their family.”

“I would give anything to be able to meet the Slatons, honestly, especially Tammy,” she adds.

Vannessa, who shed over 270 pounds herself, shares how she’s “proud” of Amy and Tammy and their incredible weight loss results.

“Tammy is blowing it out of the water,” she adds.
