As the end of the year creeps closer, our attention turns to the holiday season and the party dresses required to see us through the cocktail soireés and dinner celebrations ahead. Or, you could take a page out of Rihanna’s book and show up to your event dressed in an ensemble slouchy enough to double as pyjamas.

Indeed, that’s exactly what fashion’s ultimate bad gal did overnight in Los Angeles as the multi-hyphenate creative arrived at dinner wearing a leopard print onesie. (See the look for yourself, here.) Flocking to her favourite restaurant, the family-owned Italian trattoria Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, Rihanna opted for comfort as the dress code with the zip-up, animal print one piece.

Though the timing might have you convinced that the 36-year-old was bringing a touch of spooky season to her night out given her reservation fell on Halloween, we must remind you that Rihanna isn’t one to shy away from bold style statements that are out of the ordinary. Plus, as the star just released her own festive season-themed onesies through Savage X Fenty—a range she fronted the campaign for with her cute toddlers RZA, 2 and Riot Rose 1—we can’t help but celebrate this flawless marketing move. Don’t get it twisted, Rihanna is one celebrity who will always back what she’s selling to you.

If you’re so included to replicate the mother-of-two’s eccentric going-out look, be sure to take note of her accessories; diamante studded Gianvito Rossi pointed-toe Monte Carlo sandals, Bottega Veneta’s scudo shield sunglasses and Maxi Lauren 1980 Intrecciato leather clutch. This ensemble might garner a few odd looks if you choose to wear it on Christmas Day, but at least you’ll have the privilege of being in a very exclusive club of brave sartorialists. Now that’s something worth celebrating.
