Rob Lowe Had the Most Hilarious Reaction to Being 'The Golden Bachelorette' Joan Vassos’ Celebrity Crush

1 week ago 1

Throughout the past few months, fans of The Golden Bachelorette saw lead Joan Vassos meet 24 handsome single men, go on a series of group and one-on-one dates, and, just last night, get engaged to her lucky winner. But, while we’ve loved following her journey to love, we weren’t exactly expecting her celebrity crush confession last month.

In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Oct. 16, Vassos unapologetically admitted that her celebrity crush is none other than former teen heartthrob Rob Lowe.

“Would you trade in whoever you selected on The Golden Bachelor[ette] for Rob Lowe?” Kimmel asked Joan in the interview. “In one second,” she responded, with almost no hesitation. “Can you blame me?”

And now, almost a month later, Lowe reacted to the clip on Instagram ahead of the season finale. “I could be the Golden Bachelor,” Lowe said as he looked up to the camera after watching Vassos in Kimmel. “That’s better than a Golden Globe I think.”

“Excited for the finale!” Lowe wrote in the caption.

As a reminder, however, Lowe’s joke about being The Golden Bachelor season two lead is nothing more than for laughs. Lowe has been married to his wife Sheryl Berkoff since 1991. Together, they share kids Matthew, 31, and, John Owen, 29. “He is taken 🥰,” Berkoff wrote in the comments.

Speaking of, Lowe’s son John, who he co-starred with in their series Unstable, also hilariously commented. “You gotta chill out man,” he wrote.

As for the other comments, his followers are all admitting to their major crushes on Lowe too. “She would have to stand in line!!!” wrote one commenter about Vassos. “We all want some Rob Lowe.” “Only problem is you aren’t a bachelor😂 we all wish though😍,” wrote another commenter.

For those who haven’t tuned in yet, Vassos’ journey on the reality dating show came to an end last night as she got engaged to her front-runner, Chock Chapple.

“I have a question for you. I’ve been waiting forever to do this,” Chapple said as he got down on one knee. “Joan, will you marry me?” “Of course, I’ll marry you,” Vassos then responded.

In turn, Vassos then offered him her last rose of the season. “I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you,” she said. “Will you accept this final rose?” “Of course,” Chapple then responded.

May they live happily ever after!
