Roman Kemp has revealed the details of a tense encounter with a James Bond star that threw him off his presenting game.

Speaking on Peter Crouch’s Therapy Crouch podcast, the One Show host looked back on the challenging interview that left him stunned.

Despite years of experience with interviewing some of the world's biggest celebrities, Kemp admitted this Bond actor was one of the most intimidating people he has ever met.

During the podcast, Crouch asked Kemp about the best and worst interviews of his career.

Kemp shared that one encounter in particular still stands out.

He told Crouch: "One person nearly made me cry. I was only young and it was for James Bond.

"He was terrifying in the film, but he is like that in real life. I sat there and I asked him this question, and it wasn't even a bad question, and then he sat and he thought."

Kemp then put on an accent to imitate the actor, adding: "He just turned to me and said, 'For the rest of this interview, I'll ask myself the questions I think I should be asked.'"

The former Capital FM presenter admitted that he sat in silence for the rest of the interview as the actor took over.

Kemp did confirm that the actor was not Daniel Craig, but the segment where he revealed the Bond star's name has been beeped out.

Fans have taken to social media to speculate about who it could be, with one person sharing: "Bet it was Christoph Waltz he definitely gives that sort of energy."

Christopher is known for playing Bond's nemesis, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, in Spectre and No Time To Die.

Meanwhile, another disagreed, writing: "Javier Bardem." Javier was featured in Skyfall as cyberterrorist Raoul Silva.
