The professional wrestling world was shocked when ring announcer Samantha Irvin announced that she would be leaving WWE with the company's blessing.
Irvin soon revealed that she didn't see any character opportunities in WWE and wanted to further pursue her acting and singing careers.
Now, Irvin's first role post-WWE has been revealed.
Comedian Kevin Fredericks recently shared a photo of Irvin and himself on the set of Churchy, the show he created and stars in.
"Got to work with an up-and-coming actress and musician," Fredericks said. "You all should keep an eye out for her. Her future is BRIGHT."
When asked if she could co-on Cameo and promote the tour, Fredericks simply replied, "lol she's in Churchy. That's good enough for me."
Fredericks later shared more photos of the two of them, saying, "Actually here's some better pics of [Samantha Irvin] and I on set. She absolutely KILLED her scenes."
While Irvin is most well-known for her time with WWE, she began her career as a singer and actress. As a teenager, she auditioned twice for American Idol and auditioned for America's Got Talent when she was 20 years old.
Irvin performed as the lead female vocalist in a Michael Jackson tribute show from 2011-2015 and was a contestant on America's Got Talent in 2015 under her real name, Samantha Johnson. She made it to the semi-finals.
In 2016, Irvin performed as Betty Rizzo in a production of Grease. She also released an EP in 2016 called 27Underground.

In 2020, Irvin relocated to Las Vegas and appeared in Vegas! The Show, portraying Gladys Knight and Tina Turner.
Irvin was eventually introduced to professional wrestling by WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry. After unsuccessfully auditioning to be a wrestler, Irvin was hired as the ring announcer for 205 Live.
Irvin soon moved to WWE NXT before moving to the main roster on WWE SmackDown in January 2022. She would quickly become a fan-favorite personality because of the sheer emotion in her announcements.
Some of Irvin's most popular announcements include introducing Chelsea Green, Gunther, and Cody Rhodes after he won the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Additionally, Irvin became increasingly fun to watch as matches took place because she was emotionally involved in what was happening in the ring.
There's no doubt that Irvin is an incredible talent. Hopefully, this role in Churchy is a step toward even bigger things for her.
