Samsung starts Black Friday early with deals on Galaxy S24 series, Fold/Flip, and Watch 7

2 weeks ago 4

Black Friday is starting much earlier than normal, or so Samsung wants you to think. The company is running some enticing deals on all of its new releases, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold and Flip phones, and Galaxy Watch 7/Ultra. These deals hinge on instant trade-in credit, which is boosted so that trading in is actually worth it.

Generally speaking, Samsung lowballs users on trade-in offers throughout the year. That is unless you buy at the right time when Samsung raises the trade-in credit offers to much higher values. During these periods, trading in a device for a new one has a few benefits. On top of getting more than a fair value for your used phone, you’re able to upgrade at a much lower cost.

These periods also offer a narrower gap between devices, allowing users to get the more expensive option for a smaller upfront cost. Further, Samsung is also offering an extra 10% off via the Samsung Shop app and a $50 credit for first-time buyers.

Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra

Right now, during this “Black Friday deal,” Samsung is offering an instant trade-in credit of up to $800 for the Galaxy S24 Ultra or $250 off with no trade-in. Of course, that full $800 applies to certain devices, like the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The older S22 Ultra will go for $700 when swapped for the new S24 Ultra.

The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will both see up to $650 in instant credit if you trade the right device in, which is the Galaxy S23+ or Galaxy S23. The theme developing here is that trading in the direct generational variant of the device you want will yield the most savings. Of course, you can trade an S23 in for an S24 Ultra, but you’ll only see $400 in instant credit, which might still be a good dal.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6

The Galaxy Z Fold 6, while being the most expensive offering, might carry the biggest savings during the event. Users who trade in a Galaxy S24 Ultra will get an instant $1,200 off of the foldable phone. That, plus the extra 10% off and $50 in-app savings, means even more off.

Samsung is also offering the Fold 6 at a discounted rate if you buy an online exclusive color, neither of which look half bad.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6, on the other hand, gets up to $800 in instant trade-in credit.

Galaxy Watch 7 and Ultra

Samsung has had Watch 7 and Ultra deals going on for some time, and they have not changed much. That isn’t to say they aren’t good, because they are. You can get the Galaxy Watch Ultra right now for $250 if you trade a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro or 6 Classic in. That’s a potential of two-generation skips while getting a $650 watch for just over half that. That doesn’t account for the Samsung Shop deal and an extra 10% off, which is included.

In fact, the only watch worth getting in this scenario is the Watch Ultra. The Galaxy Watch 7 is actually more expensive because you can only get up to $175 off with a trade-in. Unless you weren’t planning on trading something in, it might not be worth it.

It’s also worth noting that the Galaxy Watch Ultra is $509 right now on Amazon. That’s 22% off without a trade-in necessary.

Samsung is also adding bundle deals to each of these devices during the Black Friday early look. For instance, adding a Galaxy Watch Ultra to the cart with an S24 Ultra will grant an extra 25% off of the watch. play around with items in your cart and see what you can come up with.
