Scheana Shay revealed which Vanderpump Rules cast members she’s currently in touch with on the latest episode of her podcast.
While also sharing her thoughts on Katie Maloney‘s new boyfriend, Nick Martin, 41, the upcoming 12th season, and claims of cast members holding up production, Scheana, 39, revealed if she thinks Lala Kent, 34, and Ariana Madix, 39, will ever reconcile.
“Honestly, [I speak to] pretty much everyone except [Tom Sandoval],” Scheana confirmed on the October 25 episode of Scheananigans.
She’s even on good terms with Katie, 37, and she met Nick, the guitarist of Sleeping With Sirens, over the weekend at a music festival.
“We were all by the artist’s trailers and the hangout area, and him and Katie were walking up while I was standing at the taco truck in line getting food. I said ‘hi’ to her. Her hair’s like this really cute reddish right now. She introduced me to her boyfriend,” Scheana recalled.
While she acknowledged that there has been some controversy surrounding Nick, who was recently accused of cheating and “collecting women” by an ex-girlfriend, Scheana insisted he “could not have been nicer.”
“He’s from San Diego and we talked about that, and then I ran into them again later back at the hotel at the end of the night. [He] was such a sweet guy … [and his band was] really good,” she shared.
Moving onto season 12, Scheana said that although she knows nothing about the new episodes yet, she hopes the cast gets another season.
“I think we definitely owe it to the fans to, whether it is a final season, whether it is a continuation of our storyline, in whatever way, I think we owe it to everyone to do another. I don’t feel like our story ended in San Francisco last year and at that reunion,” she explained. “I think there is so much more story to tell.”
As for the alleged delays and potential salary disputes, Scheana said, “I haven’t heard that personally.”
“That’s definitely not me, so I guess the simple answer is there’s no status update to share. But as far as I know, there’s no holdup around people holding out for more money because I don’t even think the conversations are there yet,” she reasoned.
Also on the podcast, after Lala said she’d “never” reconcile with Ariana, Scheana expressed hope.
“A lot of us speak in absolutes on this show … If you ask me, four years ago even, if I ever would be friends with Lala again, I would’ve said, ‘Absolutely not. Hell no.’ But look at us now,” she noted. “We’re family. We’re raising the kids together, so anything’s possible in this group.”
“We’ve been through a lot, this group, and we’re a resilient bunch. We’ve come back from a lot, but things are also a little different this time,” she added.
