The NFL trade deadline is fast approaching on Nov. 5, but the Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans have not waited to pull off a big trade.

According to Tom Pelissero, "Trade! The Seahawks are sending LB Jerome Baker and a fourth-round draft pick to the Titans for LB Ernest Jones IV, per sources."
The Seahawks are trading Jerome Baker and a fourth-round pick to the Titans for Ernes Jones IV.
Baker joined the Seahawks in the 2024 offseason, after spending the last six seasons with the Miami Dolphins. So far through 2024, Baker has 37 total tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
During his time with the Dolphins, Baker secured 587 total tackles, two interceptions, 22.5 sacks, and six forced fumbles. Despite never being nominated for the Pro Bowl or named an All-Pro, he has been one of the most solid linebackers in the NFL.
The Titans acquired Jones in the trade, who has acquired 44 total tackles, and two passes defended. Jones joined the Titans via a trade from the Los Angeles Rams before the 2024 season began.
The Rams sent Jones to the Titans for a fifth and sixth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Titans just acquired him for a fourth-round pick.
A player-for-player swap is rare when it comes to trades, but now both Baker and Jones can get going in their new respective defenses.
The Seahawks are currently 4-3 on the season, most recently picking up a dominant win against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. They handily beat the Falcons 34-14, and are hoping to continue making noise in the wide-open NFC West.
The Seahawks are squarely in first place in the division, though the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers are right behind with 3-4 records.
The Titans, on the other hand, have been struggling. The team is currently 1-5 and in last place in the AFC South. Quarterback Will Levis has been struggling and is now injured, casting doubt on the team being able to challenge the rest of the AFC and their own division.
So far, the Titans sent DeAndre Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs for a conditional fourth-round pick, and have now acquired a fourth-round pick for Jones.
With a 1-5 record and the Titans potentially loading up for the 2025 NFL Draft, they might make some more trades leading up to the fast-approaching NFL trade deadline. Either way, Tennessee has made some big moves already.
