Bruce Willis' wife, Emma Heming Willis, has shared that her household cheered on his ex-wife Demi Moore as she scooped a trophy at Sunday's Golden Globes.
Moore delivered an emotional acceptance speech at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, where she won for her performance in acclaimed movie The Substance.
"This is the first time I've ever won anything as an actor. I'm just so humbled and so grateful," she said as she reflected on her more than 40 years in the industry.
Moore went on to share a deeply personal story from her early career, telling the audience: "Thirty years ago I had a producer tell me that I was a popcorn actress, and at that time, I made that mean that this wasn't something I allowed to have. That I could do movies that were successful but that I couldn't be acknowledged."
"I bought in and I believed that," she continued. "That corroded me over time to the point where I thought a few years ago, that maybe this was it, maybe that this was complete, that I've done what I'm supposed to do."
Moore described The Substance as a turning point. "It was a magical, bold, courageous, out of the box, absolutely bonkers script," she shared, speaking to the project's impact on her career.
As Moore celebrated her moment onstage at Beverly Hills' Beverly Hilton hotel, Heming Willis shared an Instagram Story post showing her posing in the gown she wore to the Golden Globe Awards.
Captioning the post, she wrote: "We are screaming over here!!! Congratulations @demimoore!!!!!"
Moore and Bruce Willis' daughter, Scout LaRue Willis, also took to Instagram to share the family's reaction from home. She tagged her sisters, Rumer Willis and Tallulah Willis, in the post.
In the footage, the daughters were seen cheering in a packed room that included friends Amanda de Cadenet and Eric Buterbaugh as Moore was announced as the victor.
The elated group then quietened down as they listed to Moore's emotional speech.
The celebratory footage was captioned, "SHE DID IT," followed by a string of crying emojis.
Ghost star Moore was married to Hollywood actor Bruce Willis for 13 years until 2000. They announced their separation in 1998, and their divorce was finalized two years later. Bruce Willis also has two daughters with his second wife, Heming Willis.
Moore, who has maintained an amicable relationship with her ex, has supported Bruce Willis and Heming Willis in recent years after the Armageddon star was diagnosed with aphasia—a form of dementia that affects one's ability to communicate. He has since been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
In December, Moore spoke to CNN's Christiane Amanpour about her ex-husband's health issues.
"Given the givens, he's in a very stable place at the moment, and I've shared this before, but I really mean this so sincerely: It's so important for anybody who's dealing with this to really meet them where they're at," Moore said.
"We'll always be a family, just in a different form," she added. "And that form may kind of evolve and change, and there is a way in which we can all be in that form."
