Grab your milk and tissues because two Girl Scout Cookie favorites are on their farewell tour.
S'mores, a graham sandwich cookie with chocolate and marshmallow filling, and Toast-Yay!, the French toast-inspired cookie dipped in icing, are officially retiring after the 2025 cookie season, giving fans one last chance to snag them at booths or online before they disappear for good.
Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) revealed the news on Tuesday, January 7, marking the first time they've announced which cookie flavors are on the chopping block ahead of time.
"We routinely reevaluate our cookie lineup to make room for new innovations," a spokesperson from the organization shared with Good Morning America. "Discontinuing Toast-Yay! and Girl Scout S'mores may lead to something new and delicious."
Fans already planning their cookie haul can expect the OG favorites like Thin Mints, Samoas, and Tagalongs to return. But don't look for anything fresh this year — there are no new flavors for 2025 after the Raspberry Rally's short-lived run in 2023.
Rolled out as a "sister cookie" to Thin Mints, the crispy raspberry-flavored treat coated in chocolate was sold exclusively online and quickly sold out, sparking resales on eBay for up to $450. The Girl Scouts weren't thrilled about the "unauthorized resales," calling it a "disappointment" in a statement given to TODAY at the time.
"If you're buying these cookies at a huge markup, you could and should instead be using that money to support girls by buying other varieties or supporting the program in other ways," the organization added.
According to GSUSA Chief Revenue Officer Wendy Lou, Girl Scout Cookie season is about much more than just satisfying a sweet tooth. "The beloved tradition is an opportunity for girls to build important life skills like goal-setting, money management, teamwork, and decision-making," she explained. "Every cookie box sold helps a girl take the next step toward becoming a confident leader."
