Parts of Los Angeles County Under Evacuations Due to Palisades Fire

Residents of Pacific Palisades, a neighborhood in Los Angeles, are being told to evacuate Tuesday amid a large brush fire.

"Evacuate now from the area of Palisades Area. Those not in the evacuation area should shelter in place. Evacuation order for Palisades Fire," the Los Angeles Fire Department said on X, formerly Twitter.

This event is caused by strong Santa Ana winds and low humidity, fueling extreme wildfire risks.

Where Is The Palisades Fire?

The 200-acre Palisades Fire has spread to both sides of Palisades Drive, impacting areas near Chastain Parkway East and Calle Brittany in Los Angeles County.

Evacuation Orders (a lawful order to leave the area) are in effect for the following zones:

  • LOS-Q0767
  • MAL-C111-B
  • SSM-U010-A
  • SSM-U010-B

Evacuation Warnings (for people who require additional time to evacuate and those with pets and livestock who should leave now) are in effect for the following zones:

  • MAL-C111-A
  • RMB-U030-A
  • TOP-U007
  • TOP-U008
  • TOP-U009

An evacuation center is open for evacuees and accepts small animals at the Westwood Recreation Center, located at 1350 S Sepulveda Blvd 900, Los Angeles, CA 90025.
