As Sean Combs maintains his innocence pleas over a host of serious allegations including racketeering and sex trafficking, social media has gone into overdrive with reports in relation to his arrest.

But now, six of the rapper's seven children have released a defiant statement in support of the star, which was published by People magazine. The star was arrested and placed in jail on allegations of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.

The hip-hop mogul's six children include Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance and twins D'Lila and Jessie and his seventh child, Love Sean, is only two. The statement read: "The past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiralled into absurdity on social media."

It continued: "We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD. Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, Jessie & D'Lila."

The record executive is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after he was denied bail by two judges. Earlier this month, the rapper's family, including his mother, travelled to support him at his hearing in federal court on October 10

A source close the Combs family, told People magazine at the time: "The whole family was. They are united in their support and he was happy to see them all there." Sean, 54, has pleaded not guilty to the charges filed against him and his legal team have filed an appeal to get him released on bail ahead of his upcoming trial, which is expected to take place next May.

The indictment centres around Sean's alleged "freak offs" parties, which prosecutors claim were sex parties organised by the rapper. It has been alleged that women were coerced into joining in the "freak offs." Rapper 50 Cent recently broke his silence over Sean's arrest. It is certainly no secret that the two musicians have not seen eye to eye over the years, so it's no surprise that he has now spoken out against the star.

Speaking to People, the star whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, said: "Look, it seems like I'm doing some extremely outrageous things, but I haven't. It's really me just saying what I've been saying for 10 years. Now it's becoming more full-facing in the news with the Puffy stuff, but away from that, I'm like, ‘Yo, it's just my perspective because I stayed away from that stuff the entire time, because this is not my style.’ "

The star, who has a number of iconic hit songs under his belt is making a documentary about the accusations against Sean. In a statement, along with director Alexandria Stapleton, he said: "This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far."
