Securis Investment Partners, the London-headquartered specialist insurance-linked securities (ILS) investment manager, has announced the hiring of Armand Foy to the role of Investor Relations (North America).
The ILS manager explained that Foy’s appointment will boost Securis Investment Partners’ North American distribution capability.
Foy was most recently a Senior Vice President in Investor Relations for specialist Bermuda-based ILS manager Pillar Capital Management.
Prior to that, Foy spent 11 years working at Resolute Global Partners, the firm formerly named ILS Capital Management, where he also worked in the investor relations function.
During his career, Foy has also worked in insurance and reinsurance with a focus on joint-ventures, securitized and structured products within RenaissanceRe’s Ventures division, at XL Capital, Catlin, and Zurich, as well as holding other roles at Butterfield Asset Management and consultancy EY.
Securis noted that Foy brings the firm deep expertise in the insurance-linked securities (ILS) asset class, with more than 15 years’ experience in business development and investor relations, with a focus on institutional investors and investment consultants across North America.
Herbie Lloyd, CIO, commented on the news, “Armand’s appointment is especially timely. It marks a significant next step in enhancing our presence in the North American market and building new, long-term partnerships with North American investors.
“Armand’s deep knowledge of the ILS market and track record of service for North American investors will drive our local offerings and provide investors exceptional opportunities to diversify their portfolios.”
Foy added, “Securis is a quality organisation with outstanding talent. I am excited to join the team.”
Recall that specialist ILS managers Securis Investment Partners and Twelve Capital announced their intention to merge last year.
