Selena Gomez brought the drama to the Academy Museum without ditching her bare nail agenda.
First things first, we have to talk about the 32-year-old actor's overall look. On October 19, Gomez hit the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures' red carpet wearing a stunning velvet navy Alaïa gown featuring an hourglass silhouette, deep scoop neckline, and black leather peek-a-boo bustier, once again bucking archaic fashion rules about the controversial color combo.
One of her edgiest red carpet looks in recent history, Selena Gomez finished off the ensemble with the perfect amount of silver Tiffany & Co. jewelry while letting the neckline of the dress speak for itself. Drawing attention to her hands with the jewelry brand's striking bone cuffs and rings, Gomez pulled everything together with a fresh, silvery manicure. Oh, and a full face of Rare Beauty makeup applied by Hung Vanngo, of course.
Dubbed the “Cosmic Silver Gloss Mani” by Bachik on Instagram, the “glossy, shimmery” manicure was designed to compliment the “wet-look” of her flipped-out bob by hairstylist Marissa Marino. In order to add “the right amount of sparkle" while “allowing her natural nails to shine through,” Bachik used an unreleased Olive & June product in the shade Cosmic Silver, sealing the deal with a ”high-gloss topcoat" and Olivia and June cuticle serum.

This look is just a slightly more dramatic, shimmery variation of the barely-there vanilla chai manicure Gomez has recently been repping alongside Hailey Bieber, Heidi Klum, and other celebs. While toffee-coded manis are certainly having a moment this fall, there's never been a better time to be a bare nail enthusiast.
