Selena Gomez's "exquisite" engagement ring is holds a sweet meaning with new fiancé Benny Blanco reportedly forking out $200,000 to pop the question.
The 32-year-old gave fans a glimpse of her diamond sparkler in photos she shared on Instagram, with the sweet caption: "Forever begins now". She and Benny, 36, have been dating since June 2023, with the pair teasing their engagement on social media by sharing some cheeky photos suggesting it could have already happened.
But now they've gone public with their happy news, with photos on Instagram showing her beaming while showing off her beautiful ring - but it came at a staggering cost. On one photo she is seen sitting on a picnic blanket gazing at her ring and in another, the star snuggles up to Benny while he tenderly kisses her on the head.
According to jewellery experts Steven Stone, Selena's ring also holds sentimental value for her. They valued the ring from the photos online at a whopping $200,000, adding that it appeared to be 4-carat marquise-cut diamond, with diamond shoulders added for brilliance. They also speculated the ring holds a meaningful reference to the lyrics in her song Good For You, in which she speaks about 'marquise diamonds'.

Before this, the pair had been private about their romance, only going public on social media in December last year - about six months after they started dating. Fans had mixed reactions to the relationship announcement back then, with some calling out how the songwriter had previously worked and been friends with Gomez’s ex Justin Bieber.
