Senator Lidia Thorpe has been escorted from Parliament House’s Great Hall after unleashing a verbal tirade directed at King Charles during His Majesty’s visit to Canberra.

“You committed genocide against our people. Give us our land back. Give us what you stole from us, our bones, our skulls, our babies, our people, you destroyed our land,” Thorpe yelled on Monday.

“We want a treaty in this country.

“This is not your land. You are not my King, you are not our King.”

The King and wife, Queen Camilla, are days into a short stay in Australia, visiting Canberra and Sydney.
