“Late Night” host Seth Meyers on Wednesday took swipe after swipe at the people that President-elect Donald Trump is hoping to appoint to his Cabinet.
Trump is “looking for ways to tear down everything” that President Joe Biden did, Meyers explained. “For example, Trump’s been actively putting together his Pandora’s cabinet of goblins and weirdos. Trump’s gonna sic them on the government like a bunch of ferrets on ketamine.”
Meyers called out Trump’s decision to appoint Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to lead a non-governmental unit to cut public spending and bureaucracy.
“Elon Musk is the richest man in the world with Defense Department contracts and connections to foreign governments,” said Meyers. “Now he’s basically co-president. It’s ludicrously corrupt.”

Meyers was also stunned by Trump’s naming of Fox News’ Pete Hegseth to run the Pentagon. “That’s right, a Fox News host will be in charge of the Defense Department. I know it sounds bad, but reportedly it was either going to be him or the General,” he cracked.
“One thing is clear from these appointments,” said Meyers. “Trump will not feel restrained in a second term.”
