Will There Be a Severance Season 3?
It has been confirmed that season two will not be the end of Mark Scout's story, as the show's director and executive producer confirmed in a recent interview that they are "starting up [their] Season 3 work", saying his top priority is the audience.
"You have a responsibility to the audience that you're going somewhere with it," Stiller told Collider. "Apple's been really supportive of that and been sensitive to what the story is and not saying, 'Okay, this is something that has to keep going as long as it's successful.' It should go as long as the story goes, and that's something we have an idea of".
Co-executive producer and writer on the series Mohamad El Masri told Collider "There was always a thinking ahead to future seasons" and "there's a natural overlap that happens, especially with the second season of a show, that you've got to keep [the momentum] going."
Is Severance Season Two as Good as Season One?
Severance season two debuted at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, a score which has since dropped to 94% following a few negative reviews, one being from Brian Eggert at Deep Focus Review, who says, "Season two muddies the waters, telling a story that, in some ways, is richer and more complex. But it's also dour, completely abandoning the eccentric humor of the first season to meander about to its detriment."
Eggert is in the minority, as most critics had high praise for the season installment of the series.
