Shane Lowry has returned to the motherland to enjoy Christmas with his family and attend his brother Alan’s wedding.
Alan and his partner Amy tied the knot during a gorgeous ceremony in the fabulous Mount Falcon Hotel in Ballina, Co Mayo at the beginning of this year.
Shane shared photos of the happy day to his Instagram page with the caption “The best few days”, featuring the wedding party matching in all black.

The beautiful bride looked gorgeous and elegant in an off the shoulder, princess-style gown, with Alan looking very dapper in his black tux.
The 37-year-old’s followers flooded the comments with well-wishes for the pair, with one saying: “Congrats guys beautiful photos”. A second follower wrote: “Congrats to Alan and Amy-fantastic photos”, and another said: “Congrats to your brother Mr Lowry”.
The Westmeath native popped the question to his now wife while on holidays in Singapore, with Alan sharing a sweet snap of the stunning proposal with the adorable caption: “The most amazing end to the trip of a lifetime”.
Alan and Shane share a very close relationship, with Alan acting as a caddy to his professional golfer brother several times throughout his career, including for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
Golf seems to runs in the Lowry genes, as Alan is also very talented at the sport. He received a golf scholarship for Maynooth University, where he graduated with a higher diploma in accounting, after previously earning an honours degree.
Shane and his wife Wendy were amongst Alan and Amy’s friends and family who gathered in Mayo to celebrate the happy couple, with Wendy looking stunning in a glittery black dress.
The couple, who tied the knot in New York in 2016, have two daughters called Iris and Ivy, who seem to have stayed at home while their parents attended the wedding.
The family split their time between their Victorian-style new build home in Rathgar, Dublin, and their home in the Florida town of Jupiter in the US.
