Shannon Beador Settled John Janssen Lawsuit To Save Money: ‘Taking the High Road’

When the news broke that Shannon Beador settled the facelift lawsuit with John Janssen, you could hear the entire world let out a collective sigh of relief. After watching her fight tooth and nail throughout Real Housewives of Orange County, we all wanted to see Miss Real for Real catch a break.

Although the details of Shannon and John’s settlement haven’t been revealed, her attorney has opened up about the conclusion of the case, and he fully believes that Shannon made the right call by settling this mess. However, he still doesn’t think too highly of John filing this lawsuit in the first place.

This facelift saga has been going on for seven long months. In March, John demanded that Shannon pay him back the $75,000 he allegedly loaned her for cosmetic work. Just weeks ago, the two were prepared for a jury trial but they decided to settle instead.

Shannon’s attorney, Dave Beitchman, spoke to Page Six about the settlement she reached with John. He made it sound like this ordeal went on for seven months too long. He felt it would have been wasteful for them to continue litigating.

“Shannon made an incredibly smart emotional and financial decision in deciding to settle this case,” Dave explained.

“I have no doubt in my mind that Shannon would prevail in this matter, but the cost of defending the case would easily be more than the amount that was sought,” he continued.

Just like most people who have followed this case, Dave said that the entire premise was “shameful.” By deciding to settle and put this in the past, Dave felt that Shannon made the correct move.

He added, “While she was certainly prepared to fight for the truth, I congratulate her in taking the high road and putting this matter behind her.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18 concludes this Thursday on Bravo at 9/8c.
