Shaughna Phillips' boyfriend released from prison 12 months into nine year sentence

Love Island star Shaughna Phillips and her daughter Lucia have been reunited with Billy Webb after he was released from prison after serving just 12-months of his nine year sentence

Love Islander Shaughna Phillips has revealed her boyfriend has been released from prison, four months after confirming they were back together.

The reality TV star started dating Billy Webb back in 2020, and after an on-again/off-again romance, Shaughna revealed she was pregnant with their first child. In January last year, Billy was arrested after a drug raid, leaving Shaughna - who was 30 weeks pregnant - devastated.

Shaughna previously urged her followers "not to judge" her for the relationship and has now confirmed he has been released early. Billy was sentenced to nine years in prison after he admitted conspiracy to supply 4.5kg of cocaine worth at least £360,000. Announcing the news to her fans, Shaughna wrote: "“If you had told me this time last year, that me and Billy would be taking Lucia to see Santa next Christmas, I probably wouldn’t have let myself believe you

“The best couple of days, this Christmas is going to be so special.” The mum-of-one could be seen cuddling their little girl as they explored a winter wonderland. She initially parted ways with the father of her daughter, Lucia, after he was arrested, but over the summer she confirmed they were back together.

Asked by fans on social media if she would be appearing on the next series of Love Island All Stars, Shaughna replied: “If I was single, I deffo would... Alas I am not so I will be sitting on my sofa watching my friends getting up to tomfoolery. I'm very happy with my little life.” One fan asked if it was difficult to find another partner when she was a single parent, the reality star replied: “Not when it's her dad.”

Shaughna had previously opened up on taking their daughter Lucia to prison for a visit. “I want to just put it out there that you can judge me all you want, but please don't let me know, because I feel like unless you've been in this position you can't really have an opinion on it,” she explained during an episode of her podcast Oh, Baby with Shaughna and Holly.

“Because before I was in this position, before I had a baby, if you had asked me would I ever, ever take my child into a prison, the answer would be absolutely not. Anyone that does that is crazy,” Shaughna continued. “And then, lo and behold, I'm now in this position. And I think the thing is, we're always going to be co-parents.”

She added: “And I don't want Lucia to think differently of her father. I would never, ever stop him from seeing her, ever." Shaughna, who shot to fame on the winter series of Love Island back in 2020, revealed she took Lucia to visit her dad in prison once a week. “This is not something I expected to be doing. I never would have chosen this life for my daughter," she told OK! Magazine.

“It’s not a decision I made lightly and I won’t lie, the first time I took her was really scary and daunting. I don’t think it hit me what was happening until I got into the building. I was so nervous but it was never a question for me. I always knew I was going to take Lucia to visit her dad."
