Season 10 of Southern Charm has been one for the books, both because of the show itself and the off-camera drama. One of the biggest sticking points from this installment of the series has concerned Shep Rose and his now-former girlfriend, Sienna Evans. Now, fans are reacting to the cold treatment she gave him on the cast trip to the Bahamas, and he’s providing a bit of context. He also explained those cringy text messages he sent Sienna.
Shep and Sienna began dating in early 2024 and maintained a long-distance relationship during that time. However, they hit a rough patch at some point, and he has accused her of lashing out at him over not wanting to pay for a plane ticket for her to visit him. Since this, Patricia Altschul has even come forward with information regarding Sienna potentially having ulterior motives.
Shep recently opened up on the Southern Charm After-Show about the cast trip to the Bahamas. For context, Madison LeCroy asked Sienna if she and Shep were dating during the episode. Her response was, “I don’t know.” She then claimed to have a stomach ache and left.
On the after-show, Shep shared a conversation he had with Sienna off-camera. Shep said to Austen Kroll, “You know what’s crazy? Two weeks earlier, she was like ‘I can’t wait for you to come down!’ I was like ‘Yeah, me too.'”
He then said, “I asked, ‘Are you staying with me?’ and she said, ‘Of course I’m staying with you! Where else would I stay?’ What a difference two weeks makes.”
From there, Shep admitted that he tried to kiss Sienna as she was leaving but that she rebuffed him and this was when he knew their relationship was probably over.
Shep added, “It was confusing. But it was so clear at the same time.”
Recently, Sienna has spoken about what made her want to halt their relationship. Apparently, she saw some things on the show that made her uncomfortable, and she said that Shep wanted to save too many sensitive moments for the cameras. Notably, she wanted to have a private conversation about their issues, but he felt the need to do it for the show.
Recently, Shep also responded to everyone’s reactions to the “cringey” text messages he sent to Sienna on his Instagram Stories.
According to Shep, “Hey everyone. So, I’m getting a few messages from last night’s episode. Yes, the texts were cringey, but I think you gotta understand that I went from texting and calling two or three times a day making plans for the future, and then the rug is pulled out from under me.”
He went on, “It sucks. It’s such a helpless feeling, but here’s the deal- I have to be honest, I have to come at it with authenticity and realness, so that’s what I did, and it sucks, but it was what was happening, and it was a tough situation.”
In the end, he said, “No apologies, just letting you know.”
He also asked fans to “please take it easy on Sienna online,” adding: “We had some wonderful times together. Things happen the way they should.”
Fans can watch Southern Charm on Thursday nights.
