Simon Cowell was seen consoling mourners at Liam Payne's funeral today.
The former X Factor judge arrived at the service with his partner Lauren Silverman.
Liam, who shot to fame on the ITV talent show, tragically passed away after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on October 16, at the age of 31. His devastated father Geoff brought his son's body back to the UK two weeks ago so that he could finally be laid to rest, and today, Liam's loved ones will say their final goodbye to the singer.
Following the service, Simon was seen consoling Liam’s friend's and family.
An onlooker told the Mirror: "Liam's former One Direction bandmates stood shoulder to shoulder, their grief clear, as they exchanged quiet words and comforting embraces. Simon Cowell, his face still etched with sorrow, was seen consoling Liam’s friend and family, offering no doubt heartfelt words amid the shared pain."

He was also their mentor, guiding them throughout the competition.
After the show, Simon signed One Direction to his record label, Syco Music, which set the stage for their global success. His ongoing support, promotion, and business expertise helped the band achieve worldwide recognition, making them one of the biggest boy bands of all time.

Other celebs that attended included Kimberly Walsh, Robbie Keane, Marvin Humes and his wife Rochelle. Liam's girlfriend Kate Cassidy also attended his funeral. The pair had been dating for two year.
Cheryl was also seen arriving at the funeral. Speaking after Liam's death, Cheryl said she will "make sure" her son Bear knows all about his late father Liam.

Sharing a black and white picture of Payne in bed with his son, Cheryl said: “As I try to navigate this earth shattering event, and work through my own grief at this indescribably painful time, I’d like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being.
“Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and a father to our 7 year old son. A son that now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again."
Prior his passing, Liam and Cheryl were amicable exes and had both been co-parenting their son.
