Sister Wives’ Christine Brown Says She ‘Was Never’ as in Love With Kody as She Is With David Woolley

Christine Brown has no problem comparing her relationships with now-husband David Woolley and ex Kody Brown. On the Sunday, November 17, episode of Sister Wives, she threw shade at her ex by gushing over how much more in love she is with David than she ever was with him.

The episode featured David, 60, proposing to Christine, 52, in April 2023. “I’ve never felt like this before,” she said. “Never been this much in love either.”

Despite being married to Kody, 55, for nearly 30 years before their split in 2021, Christine clarified, “I never loved Kody as much as I love David. Was never in love with Kody like I’m in love with David. Never.”

The TLC star married David in October 2023, less than one year after they started dating. The beginning of their relationship has been playing out on season 19 of Sister Wives, with cameras documenting their whirlwind love affair.

On the November 10 episode of the reality show, Christine and David went shopping for a home together in Utah, despite only dating for a few months at the time. “David and I live apart and I’m done with that,” the mom of six admitted. “So we’re going to live together and we’re going to go house shopping. We’re looking at houses and we’re moving in together, like, permanently buying a house, not just renting.”

David agreed that he wasn’t concerned about moving “too fast” with his now-wife. “I knew on our second date that you were the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with,” he told Christine. “My dad met my mom, and then seven days later, he asked her to marry. So I think that’s fast. I think we’re slow at our rate.”

Christine added, “I think it would feel fast if it didn’t sync up so well. We hit a flow, and our flow was faster than other people’s flow and slower than other people’s flow. It was just our flow.”

Kody and David’s first meeting was also documented in the episode. In a subsequent interview, Christine admitted that there was “a lot of stress” leading up to that encounter. However, David told Entertainment Tonight, “I’m me, and I just be me, and if people don’t like it, then I don’t know what to do. We’ve filmed a little bit [together] and it was OK. I don’t get nervous at all. I’m not intimidated by people and it doesn’t bother me at all.”

Christine was the first of Kody’s wives to leave the polygamous family and end her spiritual marriage to the patriarch. Janelle Brown followed suit in 2022, followed by Meri Brown at the beginning of 2023. Now, Robyn Brown is Kody’s only remaining wife. They have been legally married since 2014.

This week’s Sister Wives episode also featured Meri, 53, informing Kody and Robyn, 46, that she would be leaving Arizona and moving to Utah after previously splitting her time between both states.
