Sister Wives’ Christine Reveals Why She and David Bought a Home Together After Just Months of Dating

Sister Wives star Christine Brown quickly knew that husband David Woolley was the one, and she revealed why they set out to buy a house together after just months of dating.

Fans got to watch Christine, 52, and David, 60, go house shopping in Salt Lake City, Utah, during the Sunday, November 10, episode of the TLC show.

“David and I live apart and I’m done with that. So we’re going to live together and we’re going to go house shopping,” Christine explained in a confessional. “We’re looking at houses and we’re moving in together, like permanently buying a house, not just renting.”

Christine added that they wanted a “home big enough for all of our kids to come hang out in.” However, she jokingly added that their adult children will “not live” with them.

In addition to having plenty of space, the couple also said they wanted a home that included a three-car garage and a kitchen with a large countertop.

The episode continued with Christine and David stopping at the first home tour with their realtor. While reflecting on the experience, Christine admitted that it was exciting to learn more about what David was looking for in his dream home.

“I know what side of the bed David likes to sleep on. I don’t know his daily habits because if we sleep over at the other person’s house, then in the morning, we leave. So it’s just, I don’t know, like when he gets ready, what thing he would prefer,” she told the cameras. “It’s just fresh and new.”

The couple was clearly excited about moving in together, though the house hunting outing forced them to confront if their romance was moving “too fast.”

“I knew on our second date that you were the one that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with,” David told Christine. “My dad met my mom, and then seven days later, he asked her to marry. So I think that’s fast. I think we’re slow at our rate.”

Meanwhile, Christine argued that they weren’t rushing into anything because they both know what they want out of their relationship. “I think it would feel fast if it didn’t sync up so well,” she said. “We hit a flow, and our flow was faster than other people’s flow and slower than other people’s flow. It was just our flow.”

Christine rose to fame during her polygamous marriage to Kody Brown. After she ended her marriage to Kody, 55, in November 2021, she confirmed her romance with David in February 2023. The couple got engaged in April 2023, and they wed soon after in October 2023.

Despite being married for over one year, fans are currently getting to watch their love story unfold during season 19 of Sister Wives.

One detail that was featured on the season was about David’s decision to not kiss Christine on their second date.

“Second date, we went and [saw] The Little Mermaid. There is a song, ‘Kiss the Girl.’ It’s all about all these little animals swimming and singing trying to convince him to kiss her. It’s the perfect opportunity to kiss a girl. OK, it just is,” she shared in a confessional. “And he didn’t.”

David explained his side of the story in his own confessional, noting that he’s “not that type of guy” to kiss early on in a relationship. “I’m gonna be a gentleman and I’m gonna wait and she just has to wait too, whether she liked it or not,” he said.
