Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Encourages Meri to Know What She’s ‘Entitled to’ at Coyote Pass

Sister Wives star Janelle Brown encouraged Meri Brown to fight for what she’s “entitled to” at Coyote Pass following their splits from Kody Brown.

Janelle, 55, and Meri, 53, met up to discuss what was at stake regarding the Coyote Pass property that they share with Kody, 55, and his last remaining wife, Robyn Brown, in a teaser clip for the Sunday, November 10, episode shared by People.

“I’m going to suggest to you that you protect your interest in it as far as what you’re entitled to — a quarter of it,” Janelle advised Meri when discussing the four adjacent plots in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Meri said she didn’t think “protection” was necessary. “Don’t you think that we have each other’s backs?” she asked, while Janelle responded, “No, I really don’t.”

The mother of one then pondered if Kody and Robyn, 46, had her best interest at heart when it came to her portion of Coyote Pass. “Would Kody and Robyn really go into this thinking, ‘Maybe we should get all of the property.’ I don’t think that they’re going to screw us over,” she said in a confessional.

Meri also explained the latest status of the property when the episode was filmed in 2022, and she reflected on why Kody and his then-wives bought the land in 2018.

“We bought these four lots when we moved here to Flagstaff at Coyote Pass with the intention of dividing them up into five pieces of property and eventually building on them. We’re now at the point in the next couple of months that we need to pay it off,” she said.

During her conversation with Janelle, Meri asked if she did not have her back when it came to Coyote Pass.

“I will watch out for you, but I just want to make sure, Meri — this is really your entire estate. I’m just telling you that you should be aware of what’s going on,” Janelle said. “I would just make sure that what you’re getting is fair.”

Janelle went on to explain in a confessional that Meri “technically is entitled to a quarter of the value of the property,” though it was possible she might not get a fair deal out of the land. She continued, “Her name is only on one piece and it’s in conjunction with Kody and I, so if worst comes to worst and it’s sold, she probably won’t get a quarter.”

They had the tough conversation after Janelle said she would be willing to “lawyer up” against Kody during the September 22 episode, claiming that he kept her in the dark about updates regarding the land.

Janelle also claimed that she felt she had as much to lose as Meri because the property “represents basically the only asset we would be taking from the marriage.”

Janelle ended her marriage to Kody in December 2022, while he and Meri confirmed their split in January 2023. Meanwhile, Christine Brown revealed that she left the Brown patriarch in November 2021.

Christine, 52, previously sold her portion of Coyote Pass back to Kody and Robyn for $10 in 2022, according to property records obtained by In Touch.
