Turning pain into profit! Sister Wives star Janelle Brown seemingly threw shade at ex-husband Kody Brown with a new line of T-shirts featuring apparent references to things he has said about her.
“Alright friends. You asked for it,” the certified health coach, 55, wrote on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, November 19, before introducing her new T-shirt collection, called “Janelle Says.”
“I am excited to share something fun — kind of a [tongue in cheek] shirt shop I have been working on!” she continued.
The collection features three T-shirts, available in either red or green, with different phrases.
“Hold on, I’ll grab my list of things that bug me about you,” one shirt reads, while another says, “I guess I missed the respect memo.”
“Teflon Queen. No longer making myself culpable for your s–t,” the third shirt, which is already sold out in all sizes, says.
As fans may recall, Kody, 55, called Janelle a “Teflon Queen” on Sister Wives, seemingly implying that she does not accept criticism or blame for anything.
Janelle also included a link to her Janelle Says website, where fans can purchase the shirts and learn more about her decision to launch the collection.
“As you know, I’ve always believed in embracing life with a sense of humor and not taking ourselves too seriously. That’s where the idea for my new shop came from — something a little tongue-in-cheek, full of personality, and just plain fun,” the website reads. “I wanted to create a space where we can celebrate life’s ups and downs with a wink and a smile, and what better way than through shirts? Whether it’s a witty saying or a little reminder to keep going. Let’s have some fun!”
The Taeda Farms cofounder and the Brown family patriarch spiritually tied the knot in 1993. They welcomed six children together — Logan, Madison, Hunter, Robert Garrison, Gabriel and Savanah — before In Touch exclusively revealed their split in December 2022.
“Janelle is a strong independent woman and realized she can do it on her own,” a source told In Touch at the time, noting that the mom of six “outgrew” her ex.
Janelle and Kody have continued to clash since their separation. During the November 4 episode of Sister Wives, she slammed his “self-absorbed” nature.
“You complain about my independence, and I will complain about your selfishness and [you being] self-absorbed,” Janelle said. “You are a little bit.”
She later added, “I don’t think we even exist in the same universe anymore,” Janelle said. “I think you’re awesome. And whenever we talk, I still feel that like you’ve got this little, this little hook in me or whatever. But I’ve been so happy [without you] that I don’t foresee a long term thing for us.”
Kody admitted that he had hopes of reconciling with Janelle. “I talk about reconciling with her because I’d like to be back in graces with my children,” he told the cameras. “But I know that reconciling with her would require some kind of power game where I gave her all the power in the relationship.”
