Sister 'won't allow TV mom's memory to fade' after dying 'too young' at 27

This July, Autumn Crittendon of MTV’s 16 and Pregnant sadly lost her life. She was just 27 years old. Autumn’s journey into motherhood was documented during her time on reality TV. She welcomed her first son, Drake, during season 5 of the show which aired ten years ago.

Following the tragic news of Autumn’s passing, her cause of death has been revealed. TMZ exclusively reports, months on from her death, that a “combination of drugs” took the MTV star’s life. She leaves behind her three children, Drake, Luke, and Abigail.

Autumn was found dead in July

On July 20, Autumn Crittendon was found “unresponsive” in a residence in Sandston, Virginia.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and an investigation into her death was launched.

Many fans and followers of the late MTV star took to social media to pay tribute to her following her untimely death.

Autumn’s sister, Misty, confirmed her passing via Facebook.

Since Autumn’s death, Misty has taken to social media to pay tribute to her sister.

In the days after Autumn’s passing, Misty launched a GoFundMe page to raise money for funeral costs.

She wrote in a Facebook post: “Be patient with me as this is so extremely painful and doing all of this is something I never imagined I’d be doing.”

The GoFundMe page sees Misty explain how her “world crashed” on July 20 and how Autumn will “never be forgotten.”

16 and Pregnant star’s cause of death

In July, an investigation was launched into Autumn’s passing.

Now, TMZ exclusively reports her cause of death via the Virginia Department of Health.

She died of a drug overdose per the report: “Her cause of death was toxicity from fentanyl and para-fluorofentanyl… an illicit synthetic opioid similar to fentanyl.”

“According to the Virginia Department of Health, Autumn’s manner of death is listed as accidental.”

As Autumn’s cause of death was released, Misty took to Facebook to share how much she misses her sister:

“Growing up, it was always just the two of us. We did it all together, even becoming mothers. Then we raised our babies together and they then did everything together. We miss you so much, beautiful. I love you more than you’ve ever known.”
