Sofia Vergara has not yet dared to admit that she has something special with Dr. Justin Saliman, with whom she has been romantically linked in recent months, following her divorce from Joe Manganiello after a seven-year marriage.
In fact, the beautiful Colombian actress acknowledged that she remains 'half single', explaining what her marital status is, although she does not fully acknowledge that there is a relationship with the doctor, with whom she began dating since October 2023, three months after her separation with Manganiello.
And while they've been dating for a year now, the relationship hasn't taken the next step and it seems their relationship is still undefined. "I actually talked about it yesterday," she told Us Weekly earlier this month, "because I'm single now".
However, she declined to clarify what she meant by her comment about being "half single".
Sofia Vergara's prospect market after moving to New York
"There's a more diverse group of people in New York than in Los Angeles because most people are in the entertainment business," she said of her move, explaining that the Iron City is home to "people from all over the world: architects, writers, actors, entrepreneurs".
This cosmopolitan quality of her new residence would allow her to be open to meet people from all walks of life, among whom she could meet some other interesting prospects.
Meanwhile, the Colombian has kept the details of her personal life under wraps since her divorce. Although in August, the actress said she was "enjoying life with him" and added that she is "very grateful to the people around her".
We also learned in April that Sofia confessed her love to the doctor after undergoing knee surgery.
"If you ever have major knee surgery, make sure you get a handsome doctor to sleep with you that night!" she wrote in a photo with the smiling doctor standing near her bed while wearing a blue scrubs. "Love you, Dr. @jdsaliman," she added with a heart emoji.
Saliman was married for 10 years to actress Bree Turner, with whom he has two children. They divorced in 2018.
A few months ago, Sofia previously said that she can't be too "picky" about who she dates.
"I mean, it's hard enough for a woman in her 50s to find someone. I'm not going to be so picky about that, 'Oh, he can only be a doctor. Oh, he can only be an astronaut.' No, I mean, I'm not that picky," she told People. "You never know what the future is going to hold. You always have to do your best, be the best person for each other."
