James Kennedy is said to be focusing on his sobriety months after his domestic violence arrest.
One week after the 32-year-old Vanderpump Rules alum showed off his sobriety coins and key tags, an insider has offered an update on James’ relationship with Ally Lewber, 29, who celebrated her birthday on Monday with Scheana Shay, 39, noting that while they are still living apart, their relationship hasn’t come to an official end quite yet.
“James and [girlfriend Ally Lewber] are still living apart but haven’t broken up,” a source told Us Weekly on January 13. “James has been super focused on self-improvement and his sobriety and doing well. He’s been attending a schedule of meetings and support and taking it very seriously.”
“He’s also been in the studio making music, working out[,] and spending time with good friends and his dog. He’s optimistic about the new year and really emphasizing his health and wellness,” the source added.
As for Ally, she took to her TikTok account over the weekend to share her thoughts on the upcoming year.
As she reportedly remained in an Airbnb after moving out of James’ $1.3 million home in Burbank, Ally confirmed 2025 would be a transitional year.
“Hey guys, I’m going to do a quick vibe check on the astrology for 2025 in the midst of this challenging, scary time, which we are clearly experiencing here in L.A. But for everyone personally, worldwide, it’s always important to find the things that bring you comfort and peace,” Ally explained on January 12. “For me, that is music, movies, books, music, my cat, astrology, always. So I just wanted to give you a very brief, very brief, scope of the astrology of 2025.”
“This year is a transition. We are moving into new territory that we haven’t experienced ever or in a really long time. We’re all experiencing and co-creating a new reality together,” she continued. “So it’s really up to us on how we want to show up this year. We get to be a part of a greater story that will shift and inspire generations to come.”
Ally went on to encourage her fans and followers to “expect change.”
“It’s not easy, but always rewarding. So remember that it is okay to feel, it’s great to feel. Again, we’re human. But it’s also nice to just remember that we are just in the process of change,” she noted. “There is still so, so, so much magic to look forward to this year.”
